Kid Friendly Food: Pretzel, Kiss, and m&m Treats!
Get your kids into the kitchen! It's the holidays and by now a lot of the candy is starting to go on sale. I guess the grocery stores assume that people are getting sugared out, but I think we both know that kids never get sugared out. Lily likes anything that tastes like cupcakes. Funny thing is that she says that about anything she happens to like. Cereal bar? Tastes like cupcakes. Peas and corn? Tastes like cupcakes. But these handy little treats are sweet and salty and toddler-friendly. And they are really easy for even a tike to help you make. Your kids can lay out the pretzels, put the kiss on top, and then smash the m&m in the middle. Just make sure you take the treats off the hot baking sheet before your kids go at it!
Pretzel, Kiss, and m&m Candy
Pretzel wheels or squares Hershey Kisses m&ms
Preheat the oven to 300. Lay the pretzels out in a single layer on a baking sheet and top with a chocolate kiss on each. Bake until the kisses are soft (around 5 minutes). Take out of the oven and immediately push an m&m into each kiss. If you are making these with a young child, transfer the hot treats to a plate prior to the m&m.
